James Mason, Life Insurance

Deacon James Mason earned both the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Master of Sciences in Management degrees at Frostburg State University. "I knew, without a doubt, that when it was time for me to go to college, Frostburg State College would be my number one choice. I believe the experience, education and guidance I received prepared me for all of my future successes."

Jim has enjoyed a successful career as an accountant and recently was ordained a deacon, which he looks forward to devoting increasing time to as he looks toward retirement. His estate planning vehicle is a life insurance policy his parents initially purchased and which he has maintained. "Because my experiences at Frostburg State University have had such an impact on my professional successes, I established the James L. Mason Scholarship for students studying mathematics, business or accounting. A fully endowed scholarship that will provide much needed support to future Frostburg State University students is the best legacy I can leave."
